Preview: New Emoji Coming Soon in Windows 11

Microsoft has announced that new emoji are coming soon to Windows 11. Here is a preview of some of the new emoji that will be available.

New Smileys and People Emoji

Microsoft is adding 38 new smileys and people emoji in this update. Here are some of the highlights:

Hand Gestures

Several new hand gesture emoji are being added, including hand with index finger and thumb crossed, heart hands, and hand holding finger. These new gestures will allow for more diverse and inclusive communication.

Pregnant Man and Pregnant Person

Pregnant man and pregnant person emoji are being added to provide more gender inclusive options for communicating pregnancy.

This allows people to represent themselves authentically, no matter their gender identity. It’s great to see more emoji that reflect the diversity of real life experiences.

Troll

A new troll emoji depicts a troll-like creature with wild hair and a big nose. This could be useful for lightheartedly calling someone out or indicating when you are trolling or joking around online.

New Animals

20 new animal emoji have been added, including some highly requested ones:

Goose

The new goose emoji is sure to delight bird lovers and will also likely get used in humorous ways. Some potential uses:

A safety pin emoji has been added. It could represent crafting, keeping something secure, or solidarity.

Microsoft is introducing new heart colors: light blue, pink, and gray. These provide more options for visually conveying different emotions and meanings.

Diverse Representation

This emoji update provides more gender inclusive options, additional skin tones, and disability representation.

Closing Thoughts

These new emoji will give Windows 11 users more ways to communicate visually. I’m looking forward to using the hand gestures, animals, and hearts to add fun visuals to my messages. It’s great to see more inclusive emoji representation too.
