ITFix Repair Disclaimer

Plain-English summary

ITFix aims to give practical repair advice and careful diagnostic work, but computer repair always has limits. Some faults are intermittent, some parts fail without warning, and some data loss situations cannot be reversed without specialist recovery equipment.

Diagnostics and repair decisions

A diagnosis is based on the symptoms, tests and evidence available at the time. If a second fault appears during repair, or if a part fails after testing, the repair plan may need to change. ITFix will try to explain the realistic options before unnecessary work is carried out.

Data and backups

Always back up important files before repair where possible. If the machine will not boot, the safest first step may be a recovery or clone attempt before reinstalling Windows/macOS or replacing storage. Data recovery is never guaranteed, especially with physically damaged drives, failed SSD controllers, encrypted storage or devices that have already been heavily modified.

Third-party products

Hardware, software, cloud services, warranties, subscriptions and manufacturer repairs are controlled by their own providers. ITFix can help diagnose or advise, but cannot guarantee third-party decisions, warranty outcomes, updates, account recovery or service availability.

Website information

Advice on this website is general guidance, not a guarantee that the same fix applies to every device. If you are unsure, send the model and symptoms first rather than trying risky DIY steps.
