The addition of FidelityFX Super Resolution helps boost fps by 15-20% to maintain high refresh rates. Definitely the best pick under $300 for 1440p in my opinion.

AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution continues to improve game compatibility and performance boost. While it lacks dedicated ray tracing hardware, the 6800 focuses on delivering max raw graphics power. If ray tracing is not a priority, the 6800 is an excellent choice for 4K gaming under $700.

During my own testing, control achieved a blistering 110fps at maxed out settings in 4K. If your budget allows, the 3080 is the clear choice for no-compromise 4K gaming.

Enthusiast $1200+

At this ultra premium segment for 4K gaming, NVIDIA’s RTX 3090 stands unmatched when it comes to raw performance and VRAM capacity.

The RTX 3090 is a true 4K gaming beast equipped with a whopping 24GB GDDR6X memory and 10,496 CUDA cores. According to independent game benchmarks, it is able to deliver over 100fps in any 4K title even with max settings. This card can easily take advantage of high refresh rate 4K monitors thanks to the blazing fast frame rates. DLSS and ray tracing also work wonders to drastically enhance visuals without tanking performance. With the 3090, you can game in 4K with every dial turned to the maximum. But that premium performance comes at a steep price.
